Arthur V refered to an “Uncle John” who went to America. Since his father’s brothers don’t seem to have included a John, this may have been a brother of Elizabeth? = John Thornton

but no father on this. Hence, surname is mother’s name.
Mother on this is Mary Ann. Informant is Jane Thornton (possibly Mary Ann’s mother?)
