Geoffrey Parry reports: It was one of the shortest concerts that I ever attended; Steeleye and Fairport only played 5 numbers. It was being recorded for Granada TV. There was nearly a riot by some angry elements in the crowd when the generator men refused to work any longer. Still, both groups were brilliant! I do remember that Steeleye performed "The Female Drummer", but no more than that. It was in the Spring or Summer of 1971, I'm pretty sure of that. | ||
