“I say, are you a matelot?”

The UK LP release of Steeleye Span's Commoners Crown has a bonus hiding in the runout track. After the last track on the album: 'New York Girls', featuring Peter Sellers on acoustic ukelele (and doing various Goon Show voices), comes his Major Dennis Bloodnock voice, saying

“I say, are you a matelot?”
“Careful what you say sir! We're aboard ship here.”

This would normally have been missed by automatic record changers and does not appear on the NZ LP or the CD release.

It also appears at the end of “All Around My Hat” on the “A Rare Collection” album. (Listen. 61kB)
