Lil was in bed all 1963 with heart and chest etc.
December 5 1963 she fell and fractured thigh bone in her ‘bad’ leg
Had it pinned and traction in hospital but that didn’t work
operated again and plated hip
7 days before Christmas had a heart attack then a thrombosis in her ‘good’ leg so amputated

died 10/12/67 [letter 2] after having both legs amputated. Letter enclosed photo of Lil taken 6 months before she died. “uncle Len not too good” at December 68
