In Jan 68 there was a strong gale and part of Mona’s house fell in, with a beam just missing her when it hit the bed. Address given as 62 Front St. Mona was very cut and bruised. As of 26/12/68 Bill had been sick since September [all ex letter 2]

Mona died of complications caused by diabetes.

Mona was known as “the baby”, which, given that Doreen was about 12 when her sister was born is quite understandable.

Mona was presumably named after Harry’s youngest sister who died aged 18. Mum said that her name caused dissention in the family, or at least some parts of it. I seem to recall that some parts of the family called her “Mona” and other parts “Eileen”
